Stories About Me1.5 - App Store

Awesome! An awesome app for storing beautiful memories of my kids.

I love how quick and simple it is to produce your story.  This is a very valuable tool for my students!

Stories About Me allows parents and teachers to create their own social stories for their children and students.

Blending photos, text, and voice recordings into a talking picture book, children can playback rich media stories of their own personal experiences.

Swiping advances the pages and tapping plays the audio; simple as that!

Creating, editing, and ordering stories is easy and simple. Backing them up for peach of mind is made possible with Dropbox integration. Parental lock feature prevents accidental edits or deletions.

---------------
-For best audio results, when recording speak clearly and directly into the iPad microphone.
-To permanently delete a story following Dropbox sync, story folder must be deleted from within Dropbox.

Want to allow your child to relive the trip to their grandparents house?
How about the fishing trip with dad?
Maybe just reinforcing the routine of brushing your teeth before its time to go to bed.

With Stories About Me for the iPad, the possibilities are endless, because you create them!

Teachers and therapists will love the usefulness of this app as a classroom and learning aid.
Transitions can be a stressful situation for children with special needs such as autism. With Stories About Me a student can be provided specific details on what they can expect from a situation and what should be expected of them. This app will allow them to hear their own or their teacher’s recorded voice and see recognizable images on the story pages, rather than predeveloped scenes involving strangers.
This process is designed to improve generalization and rate of skill development. Nonreaders can also benefit with from the voice recordings.

"Great! This app is going to be a great tool in my special ed class."

"Simple and Amazing App! It can't get any simpler than this. You are given an empty template and allowed to do whatever you can think of. This will become a 'staple' app in the collection of anyone who has kids, especially special needs ones. I absolutely love the simplicity. Perfect. I can create social stories for my son, make a talking photo album that he can revisit time and time again, and even create books out of his most favorite stories. Also great is that you can share stories. Highly recommend!"
